Somatic Mutations and Aging

Our lab studies somatic mutations that are prevalent in the aging population which cause clonal hematopoiesis, a disorder that increases the risk of blood cancer, cardiovascular disease, and overall mortality. Understanding the biology of these mutations and how they contribute to the development of cancer and other age-related diseases is the current focus of work in our lab.
